Back in January of 2020, we were excited to take a trip to Greece in March. Now, if you recall 2020 at all... that wasn't possible. So, when Greece was suggested as a family trip for May of 2023, we were excited all over again.

Athens: OF COURSE we visited the Acropolis and Parthenon while we were in Athens. We were a part of a walking tour while we visited (which is always preferred since we get more of a history lesson rather than just seeing the site) We also toured the Parthenon museum which had a lot of art as well as ruins in it. We also walked around the city a bit and visited a very fancy Greek orthodox church on the tour.

Mykonos:

We spent about a day and a half in Mykonos. It was a little rainy and chilly while we were here, but it's still a beautiful visit. Mykonos was beautiful with all the white buildings with blue accents, and there were a TON of churches too. Mykonos definitely has a tourist feeling, and I bet it's very busy during their summer months.

Santorini: Santorini is the place we were the longest (2.5 days) and we also did the most here. (Which makes sense since we had more time) Here we did an electric bike tour, toured some ancient ruins, took a sunset boat tour, and walked around the town we stayed in quite a bit. The town we stayed in had a more local vibe to it than Mykonos did.

The trip turned out to be a wonderful break from our routine, and it was nice to get abroad again. If you're thinking of taking a trip, Greece is a friendly tourist visit, and they speak English. (which made it a lot easier to navigate around for us)
