59 Parks: Lassen Volcanic National Park

Lassen Volcanic National Park is located in Northern California.

As I mentioned in my Crater Lake post, it's important to check out the weather for the region that you're traveling in. This park was mostly closed with the exception of the first parking lot, which a lot of snow-shoers were gearing up in.

I was not prepared to snowshoe. So, I'll make a return to this park someday. However, the little bits of it I did see were pretty, although snow-covered.

I was impressed by the size of the pinecones and the way the moss wrapped around the trees.
