59 Parks: Great Sand Dunes

The Great Sand Dunes National Park is in the south west area of Colorado.

This park is super cool to see and walk around in, but I did learn a couple of lessons during my 2018 visit:

• Freshly shaven legs + shorts + wind in the sand dunes = tiny razor-like pains all over your legs

• Not the best idea to start a road trip with a visit to somewhere full of sand

This is a park I absolutely want to visit again, mostly to ride down the dunes on the sand boards (yes, that's a thing) luckily it's not too long of a drive to do so in the future.
