One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

One step forward, two steps back. That's how the last year and a half has felt for me. I'm pushing hard to get to a "new normal", but battling grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-loathing, various health scares, etc. has not made it easy...
But I guess that's part of the human experience, isn't it? If everything were easy, nothing would be of value. So, while I'm making my way through recovery, I've been exercising a lot, journaling, going to therapy, re-evaluating old goals, and reading. The biggest lesson I've learned is to take everything in moderation, and accept mistakes and emotions. I'm sharing this here, because if you're struggling, I want you to know you're not alone. I'm also sharing here as a reference point to myself for how far I've come.
Put in the work, it will be worth it over time.
