Impromptu Fall Crown

I was recently in the dollar store, hunting for some pieces to an upcoming project, when I spotted a lot of Fall decor, and an idea sprung into mind- I knew I wanted to create a Fall crown.
I bought a few glittery pumpkin pieces on sticks, lots of fake flowers, a headband, and a foam ring to attempt this project.

Have I ever made a crown? No.
Was I going to let this intimidate me? No... but I probably should have done more research before attempting it...
I roughly arranged the larger back pieces to what I wanted and then cut the pieces down to what I needed it to be. The wiring in the fake plants wouldn't cut with scissors, so I used some hedge trimmers to get it to the length I needed (did I mention that I should have done more research before attempting? :) )

Next, I was trying to figure out how to attach it all to the headband. It made more sense to stick everything onto the foam ring since I could stick the pieces into it. However, when I tried to hot glue the foam to the headband, I did not have much luck with it.

Once I realized that wasn't working, I decided that figuring out the logistics would be a "future-me" problem and continued on with the assembly of the pieces:

And after a lot of loose glitter, and hot gluing later...

I trimmed the foam back quite a bit, and the best way to attach it/ wear it ended up being using bobby pins and hair clips, not ideal, but it worked well enough!

This project was really fun because it was just for me- no purpose, no timeline, just following an inspiration spark, etc. and it was really therapeutic in a way- going with the flow.
