Into week 9!
I am still in awe that I've made it pretty consistently through 8 weeks (2 months!) So I'm very excited to be entering the third month, even though every run starts with a thought train along the lines of: "why am I doing this?" "I don't know if I can do this"
The thing is, I'm realizing more and more of what I can do, so I need to just suck it up and continue being consistent.
Sunday
Day 1 Week 9- training app: 45 min total, 35 running = 3.67mi
*Had more walking mixed in- around some of the uphill portions
I was dragging a bit on this run, but I still managed to hit some of my goal bits of running distances, (run to this stoplight, get all the way up this hill, etc.) and that's what I'm currently focusing on- improving certain stretches of the run, and putting more emphasis on my stride.
Wednesday
Day 2 Week 9- training app: 53 min total, 40 running = 4.24mi
*Had more walking mixed in- around some of the uphill portions
T'was a chilly one! I realized on this run that I may need to gain membership to a nearby rec center with an indoor track because it's getting very cold, very quickly. I even waited until the afternoon to run, but it was still pretty cold.
I also realized on this run that I need to create a longer loop if I do continue to run outside. The loop I run used to end up where I start my cool down as I reach the final hill to go home, however, now I reach that point when I have about 15 minutes of running left, and it is NOT a hill I am ready to run up.
Saturday
Day 3 Week 9- training app: 53 min total, 40 running = 4.44mi
I went to the track for this one, it was really nice being back after awhile. I was not able to go for as long as I expected to with laps, BUT huge progress from the start nonetheless.
Week 9 Down!
Another week down, and almost into double digit training weeks!
Biggest Lesson this week:
The cold is no joke, I need to come up with a plan for colder days.
