Into week 10!
"Week 10" is used loosely here, as I took 2 weeks off in between. Not the best idea, but also I'm not totally mad at myself for doing it because I needed to focus on other things.
Sunday
Day 1 Week 10- training app: 52 min total, 40 running = 4.32mi
I did this run with my Bestie the week of her wedding. We did a trail run, and my endurance with breathing is really the biggest thing that's annoying me when I run now (progress from... everything)
*break for 2 weeks- I could have run during this I suppose, but my brain was elsewhere*
Sunday
Day 2 Week 10- training app: 50 min distance intervals = ?mi
I was starting to recognize that I was getting to a point where I hadn't run in so long that my brain was heavily doubting myself again. It was really cold out, but I knew I needed to get a run in before my haircut appointment, so I did this one on the treadmill.
The treadmill is never ideal, as it's boring, but I did rearrange my gym space and decluttered a bit. The treadmill now faces a tv so that was helpful. I did struggle though with endurance times, but that's kind of what happens when you take 2 weeks off...
Wednesday
Day 2 Week 10- training app: 50 min distance intervals = 4.97mi
My first day back out on the road in a long while- WOOF
I didn't quit, but I did quite a few more intervals than the app intended...but I needed to get back out there, and I knew it would be a rough one. This was a day I knew I couldn't pass on since the weather was in the 60's compared to the last two days being in the 30's.
I did extend part of my route on this one which was pleasantly flat land area, but a lot of car exhaust to deal with. Not too terrible though, so I'll keep extending my route that way on warmer days.
Week 10 Down!
Things go here
Biggest Lesson this week:
Rest days may need to be dictated by the weather in the next few weeks. I did get a pass to the rec center near me, but their indoor track is very small (20 laps = 1 mi) so I will be trying to use that only as a last resort/as needed.
