Growing, Tiny But Mighty

I have been notoriously terrible with plants. I forget to water them. I overwater them. I place them in unknowingly terrible environments (usually ones that are within reach of the pets)

So after failing multiple times, I decided I was done. Fake plants are the route for me.

Or so I thought…

My friend texted me about going to check out some plants with her at a local greenhouse. As I am always up for an adventure, I went, and expected to buy nothing.

How wrong I was. There’s something so beautiful and mystical about a greenhouse that instead of nothing, I bought: chives, strawberries, a tomato plant AND two shiny windmills. (I thought even if the plants died, I’d still have something pretty in the yard)

Well, through minimal research, and a lot of watering, I can proudly say: tiny fruits have been achieved, and I’d like to do more next year. I like outdoor things that I can water and watch grow during journaling times in the morning.

Maybe next year I’ll try potatoes and squash too?

Also, I’d like to thank friends and family members that have helped water and care for these plants during this summer’s hectic schedule. These tomatoes and strawberries would have quickly died if not for help while I traveled.
