Into week 5!

I'm now at the start of month two, and very happy about that. I can't believe how much of a difference once month made, I'm eager to find out how much can happen with another month of training down.

Sunday

Day 1 Week 5- training app: 32 min total, 16 running = 2.6 mi

This was my first road run through this training, and despite my neighborhood having way too many hills (downside of living in the foothills) I was pretty happy with what I was able to do. I did plan it so I was mostly going downhill though :) I'm not quite ready to run up the hills, so I am planning routes that feel achievable at the moment.

Monday

No activity- rest day

Tuesday

Nothing

Wednesday

Day 2 Week 4- 36 minutes total, with 18 of that being running 2.7 miles

I took Dobby (dog) with me for today's road run- it was nice to be able to take him along, and he was really well-behaved throughout it. He did make me laugh a few times because I was struggling to run, and he'd just be walking at a normal pace.

Thursday

Nothing

Friday

Day 3 Week 4- 31 min total, 16 were ran, 2.32 miles

I got up and did this run, but boy- was it a challenge.

I'm not entirely sure why this day felt like such a difficult one, I woke up with plenty of time, I think my body is just a bit exhausted at the end of this week. Dobby was a perfect little gentleman during this run/walk too- very patient when I took a few much needed breaks.

Saturday

Nothing

Week 5 Down!

Road runs are difficult in the foothills.

Biggest Lesson this week:

As this was the first week of road runs, it feels like a whole new beginning, and that has been difficult mentally. I know I need to keep pushing forward, but it's definitely a new level of challenge.
